Jennifer Cartmel, CNP

Jennifer has been working in women’s health since 1990, and received her Masters degree from The Ohio State University College of Nursing through the graduate entry program in 2008, and is board certified in women’s health. She also has a B.A. in Speech Communications from Wheaton College (Illinois). Life experience and serving a broad spectrum of women and their families from many cultural backgrounds over the years has made her uniquely qualified to provide not only evidence-based solutions to obstetric and gynecologic issues, but also intuitive and tailor-made solutions for every individual. She has worked as a nurse, a childbirth educator, and doula in clinics and private practice, and as a nurse practitioner in a hospital clinic and in federally qualified health centers, providing a broad scope of services in under-served areas of Columbus: prenatal care, birth control, colposcopy, and all things gynecologic. She loves all of it.

She is adjunct faculty at The Ohio State College of Nursing and precepts women’s health and nurse midwifery students. She is a rower and you can often find her in her single or out with her “crew” on the Scioto River, but it’s usually before sunrise. She is happily married and has a beautiful and bright daughter.

Erica then graduated from University of Cincinnati with her Master of Nursing in 2019. She is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Erica spent most of her nursing career at Grant Medical Center and has learned a lot from her experience there. She loves helping women with all aspects of life- from family planning to menopause and everything in between! Erica is also a member of The Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health Organization (NPWH).
